Park City, Utah; January 19, 2012- Quinn’s Junction Partnership has reached an agreement with Summit County and Park City to facilitate the location of a world class film and television production studio in Park City, Utah.
Greg Ericksen, Principal of Quinn’s Junction Partnership, said, “This is a major milestone in firmly positioning our State to grow the entertainment industry and bring high paying jobs to our communities around Utah.” Ericksen hopes that the new studio facility will be instrumental in keeping local talent in Utah. “Instead of graduating in fine arts and leaving the State, students now have an opportunity to develop production skills locally.â€
Quinn’s Junction Partnership is partnered with Raleigh Studios, the largest independent studio operator in the country to help develop and manage the multi-use facility.
“This is a great opportunity for Raleigh to contribute to one of the most prolific communities of independent filmmakers in the world. We look forward to working with the State of Utah, it’s educational institutions, Park City and Sundance to make this a project everyone can be proud of,†said Michael Moore, President of Raleigh Studios.
“We couldn’t have a better partner than Raleigh Studios,” Ericksen said. “They work hard to utilize local vendors and create a service that production professionals are both familiar with and comfortable working alongside.â€
Ericksen is thankful for the efforts by Summit County and Park City officials in working to make this project a reality. “Coming together with local officials who have created the Park City brand recognized all over the world is inspiring. I am humbled by our progress and look forward to a great relationship with the elected men and women of Park City and Summit County in creating what is going to be a truly amazing project and facility.”
