I was in Farmington, Utah working for the day and wanted to find a unique place to eat lunch. From another life, I remembered driving by a local Mexican restaurant in the old part of Farmington. As it got closer to lunch, I realized that I was only about a mile away from Francisco????????s Mexican Restaurant. I drove over to the restaurant and headed in through the slushy weather.
When I walked in there was just a mother and her son at a table eating an early lunch. It was empty, but I wasn????????t worried. After all, the business had been here for at least five years (most likely more).
The menu had all the items you would expect from tacos to burritos and tamales. However, the ??????traditional Mexican dishes?????? section caught my eye. Glancing through the options, I decided it was time to have a chili relleno.
The server brought out my meal a few minutes later with the pablano chili stuffed with cheese and a great red sauce and sides of beans and rice. It was a great lunch-sized plate with delicious hot Mexican food.
The sauce for the chili relleno had a nice spicy tang, definitely not overwhelming, but gave a pleasant compliment to the relleno and the rice.
You are probably wondering, ??????What makes this place so special??????? Nothing really. However, what I like about Francisco????????s Mexican Restaurant is that it is clean, comfortable, fresh, local and they are tucked away where the locals will find it.
If you want to stop by for lunch or dinner, Francisco????????s Mexican Restaurant is located at 7 East State in Farmington, Utah.
