LINCOLN CITY LIBRARIES TO HOST PUPPET SHOWS IN JULY

Parasol Puppets, a touring puppet theater from Missouri, will perform at Lincoln City Libraries in July as part of its Summer Reading Program special events. Performances are free to the public, and no registration is required.

The puppeteers will perform “Circus,” in which the ringmaster will introduce you to favorite circus characters. Those include a clown and a very timid lion as well as Madame Gertrude and her trained snakes. Audience members are encouraged to cheer, applaud and otherwise help the puppet characters to perform their circus acts. The performance schedule is as follows:

· Monday, July 2, 2 p.m., Gere Branch Library, 2400 S. 56th St.

· Monday, July 2, 6:30 p.m., Anderson Branch Library, 3635 Touzalin Ave.
