LIBRARIES TO HOST FREE ECLIPSE-THEMED CONCERTS IN AUGUST

Lincoln NebraskaLincoln City Libraries will host two free concerts to celebrate the upcoming solar eclipse August 21.  Musician and writer Ken Lonnquist will present “Celestial Music: Songs About the Sun, Moon and Stars” at two locations:

  • South Branch Library, 2675 South Street – 4 p.m.Sunday, August 20
  • Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street – 6:30 p.m.Monday, August 21

 

Lonnquist wrote his first song at age seven, began playing guitar at age 12, and has been performing professionally since college.  Lonnquist has traveled widely, writing and performing at schools and colleges.  He’s been heard on NPR, Air America, the CBC and Pacifica Radio.
