Ingram Micro Hosts 24th Annual East Coast Charity Golf Tournament

Associates and Partners Raise More Than $340,000 for Local Organizations

BUFFALO, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Fundraiser–Ingram Micro Inc. announced today that the company’s East Coast Charity Golf Tournament, which was held last month, raised a total of $344,000 for local organizations. In addition to supporting a wide array of philanthropic initiatives throughout the Buffalo community, the funds raised will benefit three designated local charities. These include:

Compeer – An organization promoting good mental health among adults, youth, seniors and veterans through supportive relationships to reach their mental health goals. A van will be purchased from Ingram Micro’s donation to transport clients to events.

ARC of Erie County – An organization supporting individuals with disabilities, along with their families, in achieving their desired quality of life. Ingram Micro’s donation will be used to make improvements to a walking path and to purchase a digital sign.

Mason’s Mission – An organization building all-inclusive playgrounds that enable children with special needs to play alongside children of all abilities. A wheelchair accessible merry-go-round for a new playground will be built using Ingram Micro’s donation.

“Ingram Micro’s East Coast Golf Tournament is always a great opportunity for our team to make a significant impact locally, and it wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing energy and efforts of our associates, volunteers, vendor sponsors, and our local community partners,” said John Fago, a Buffalo native and the Executive Director of Global Partner Engagement for Ingram Micro. “This year marks the 24th anniversary for our annual tournament, and we’re so proud to have the opportunity to give back to our community in such a meaningful way.”

Ingram Micro’s Annual East Coast Charity Golf Tournament began in 1995, and has cumulatively raised more than $3 million for charity since its inception. It remains one of the largest local community events in the area, and within the company globally.

I have been involved with publishing and marketing for the past 37 years. My passion is helping people share their voice. I am able to do this through two important venues: One, with Area-Info.net where people can share everything from opinions to events to news. It is your choice! What do you want to share? Two, through a new program called America's Real Deal I am involved with to help business owners get their voice heard. For people who love to save money and earn while saving, there is a new program called the r network. You are provided with a card that entitles the user to automatic savings on more than 300,000 products. Learn more about the revv card today. This is by invitation only to be some of the first people to get this card. I schedule speaking engagements with community groups and business groups to share my passion about the importance of "sharing your voice".
