Hotel Transylvania Sucks the Record from Looper and End of Watch

Hotel Transylvania sets record for a September opening with $43.0 million in estimated ticket sales over the weekend. In fact, the top 12 movies were just over $108 million in tickets sales which is up 21% from the previous year. Rounding out the top 5 movies for the weekend are: Looper ($21.2M), End of Watch ($8.0M), Trouble With the Curve ($7.53M) and House at the End of the Street ($7.15M).
