Event date: April 4, 2020
Event Time: 10:00 AM – 01:00 PM
3000 Galleria Circle
Hoover, AL 35244
The City of Hoover along with Hoover Fire Department and Hoover Police department will be hosting a stair climb called “Hoover Climb to Remember” at Galleria Office Tower at the Riverchase Galleria on April 4, 2020. Opening ceremonies will begin in the Galleria food court at 10:00am. After opening ceremonies, climbers will climb 110 stories in the office tower by making several trips up. This is not a competition or competitive “race.” This is done to remember the firefighters and law enforcement officers who gave their lives saving others after an attack on our people at the World Trade Center in New York on September 11, 2001. Climbers will be comprised of area firefighters, police officers and other citizens who would like to honor those first responders who lost their lives that tragic day. Attendance is free for supporters. Climbers are asked to pay $40. This money will go to the Hoover Public Safety Charity Foundation.
