Herm’s Inn in Logan, a Great Place for Breakfast and Lunch

Over the last 30 years I’ve occasionally driven by an abandoned old building on Canyon Road in Logan on my way up Logan Canyon. I have often remarked that someone needs to restore that old building and make it a ice cream parlor, restaurant or something else that people can visit. At last it has been done.

That old building has been restored and is now the Herm’s Inn, a place for breakfast and lunch. I’ve been there several times since it was opened. It has a reasonably priced breakfast and lunch menu. The food is very good. I’ve eaten their omelettes, hamburgers, sandwiches and today, I enjoyed their tuna salad. All these meals were delicious and satisfying. I was pleased to be able to take my brother to this place the last time he was in town.

The building has been restored to perfection. You are in for an architectural treat when you visit there. It’s simple and beautiful. It’s much more spacious than it appears from the outside. There is plenty of seating to handle even their overflow parking lot full of people.

Downstairs they have a first class “boardroom” style meeting place that is ideal for holding a small lunch meeting. Herm’s is the kind of place I see myself taking business friends and family for years to come. It will be one more family and business tradition. Already when my wife and I finish a half day of skiing we like to drop in there for a late lunch on the way home. It’s a perfect way to top off a fun day.
