Ensuring outstanding public safety is a top priority in Castle Rock. As the community continues to grow, Castle Rock Fire and Rescue wants to make sure it’s keeping up with demand. Now, the department is working on updating its strategic plan and needs feedback from the community.
The department’s strategic plan is a three-year document focused on service priorities, expectations, goals and objectives. The plan is being updated, and residents now have the opportunity to submit feedback on the future of the department at an open house.
Join the Strategic Plan Open House from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Station 153, 5463 E. Sovereign St. This will be the first of several open houses held in different neighborhoods over the next few months.
There will be a short formal presentation, followed by the opportunity to fill out a feedback form. The department is looking for input on the community’s expectations, priorities and concerns.
Can’t attend Oct. 4? A second open house has been scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Station 154, 3801 Prairie Hawk Drive. Additional dates will be scheduled in 2019.
“Castle Rock Fire and Rescue values the community we serve,” said Fire Chief Norris Croom. “These open houses are a great opportunity for our department to interact with the public, listen to concerns and make sure we continue to live by our vision of being the best at providing emergency and prevention services.”
