FOR THE BIRDS — The 18th annual exhibit of birdhouses at the Ogden Nature Center

The Ogden Nature Center received a record 73 entries for the 18th Annual Birdhouse Exhibit, which will open on Saturday, April 16 and show through August 31, 2011. The public is invited to stroll down Birdhouse Lane to view this year????????s 73 entries along with the Nature Center????????s permanent collection of wild, creative, wacky, functional, and beautiful birdhouses.

The birdhouse competition was designed to demonstrate ways to attract wildlife to backyards by creating unique, aesthetically pleasing habitats. Entries range from whimsical to practical.

This competition is sponsored by the Utah Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts along with the following local sponsors: Jack & Jodi Livingood, Shepherd????????s Bush, Pat & Glen Richter, Salt Lake Wild Bird Center, Wasatch Audubon Society, Ogden Blue, The Wild Bird Center of Layton, Booth Dental Clinic, Robin and Brad Farr Family and Jeremiah????????s Restaurant.

Exhibition Display: April 16 through August 31, 2011 -Open Monday through Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-4

Admission: Free for Nature Center members

$2.00 for children 2-11
$4.00 for adults
$3.00 for seniors
