Follow-up from our Town Hall: Where to Comment on the “J Line” Bus Rapid Ride (Eastlake Ave) Proposal and How to Connect to the Eastlake Community Council
January 31, 2020
Thanks to those who attended the Town Hall for District 4 residents, hosted last night by the Eastlake Community Council. If we did not answer a question you might have had or you did not get a chance to state your views on an issue important to you, please e-mail us at [email protected]
At the event, we promised to post some links onto my website here:
Eastlake Ave road project: For the website with more information about Mayor Durkan’s / SDOT’s proposal to repave Eastlake Avenue with added bike lanes and the pursuit of a new “Rapid Ride” Bus line from Roosevelt through Eastlake to South Lake Union (to be called the “J” line), CLICK HERE. To fill out a form to comment officially on the entire proposal, CLICK HERE. Everyone I’ve connected with seems excited about the prospect of more frequent bus service. The aspect of the project that seems to have generated the most discussion is SDOT’s proposal to install protected bike lanes on the Eastlake Avenue arterial. According to SDOT, ” both a one-way and two-way protected bike lane on Eastlake Ave E require removing all the parking on Eastlake Ave E.“
