Fire Station 28 has reopened

Fire Station 28, 1300 Everman Parkway, recently went through renovations; Engine 28, Brush 28 and their crews were relocated to Fire Station 42. Contractors addressed plumbing repairs.

The repairs are now completed and the station has fully reopened.

The renovations were scheduled to begin upon the opening of Fire Station 42, 450 E. Rendon Crowley Road. During the renovation, the apparatus and crew of Station 28 were housed at Station 42.

The Fire Department’s computer-aided dispatch system was adjusted to ensure that residents in the area of Station 28 did not see a significant increase in response times from surrounding fire stations.

All Fort Worth Fire Department emergency calls are dispatched to the closest unit based on GPS location and shortest response time rather than proximity of fire stations. Residents were encouraged to call 911 to report an emergency.
