Family Storehouse moved to their new location at 356 E State to respond to their need to accommodate their new growth. They held a ribbon-cutting on Friday, February 22nd along with the Jazz Bear and other fun give aways. “We are excited to have their new retail store in American Fork. They provide a wonderful online and retail business that will enhance our business community,” exclaimed Debby Lauret, American Fork Area Chamber Executive Director.
Four years ago, Josh and Larry Baum started their emergency preparedness store in Josh’s basement, later moving to Larry’s garage. As growth continued they relocated to Center Street in American Fork and now with this last move they are excited to have a new home.
They started out as a 72 hour kit specialist company with a large online presence. They have evolved to everyday food storage, shelter, sleeping bags, tents and water purification systems. Family Storehouse carries the top water treatment system called Sawyer system that will filter 300 gallons a day, without ever having to change the filter for about $100.
Another part of their core business plan also includes fundraisers for schools, soccer, and dance teams–with ten dollars of every 72 hour kit going back to the organization. “We love being part of the community and want to help it grow!” Larry Baum, co-owner explains.
Larry continues on his corporate philosophy, “Our customer service is unmatched. We provide education and training in emergency preparedness. When you walk through the door, we ask our customers ??????What is the most important thing that will give you piece of mind when it comes to emergency preparedness? We try to satisfy that need first.” With their large inventory, education presentations, and un-matched customer service Family Storehouse will be around for many more years.
They are located at 356 E State: Hours of Operation: 10 am to 6 pm Monday – Saturday. Call Larry at 801-380-4997 or Josh at 801-427-2003. www.familystorehouse.net
