Fourth of July was almost back to normal—so what will the close of the summer bring? Labor Day is a wonderful time to wrap up the summer season and celebrate the beginning of fall. We love to invite friends, hang in the sunshine, and enjoy a delicious meal, all while enjoying that day off work.
After a year and a half of a pandemic, make sure to truly celebrate this turn in season. Below, you’ll find some of our favorite and exciting ways to celebrate Labor Day this year.
Host a Party (But Invite Virtual Guests, Too!)
You might not be able to spend Labor Day with everyone in your friend group, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy their company from afar. Host a party but add a time for a FaceTime session or video call. That way everyone can spend a little time together on the holiday! Talk about plans for the rest of the year, play a few games, and enjoy time together, even if some guests are virtual.
Go On a Hiking Trip
Are you itching to end the summer on a high note? Do something fun and adventurous and get out of the house before it gets too cold to do so. Grab a few friends for a road trip to the mountains, hills, or flat plans. It’s a great Labor Day activity since you’ll be out in the sunshine!
If you’re concerned about social distancing, hiking trips are an easy way to stay safe! See what nature you can find and what hints of fall there are to enjoy!
Make a Fall Bucket List
As we said, Labor Day closes out the summer season. Make sure the fun of loosened restrictions is truly taken advantage of. From apple picking to hiking, Labor Day is the perfect time to make your plans for the season!
Even on the holidays, it’s still vital to honor any areas where social distancing restrictions are still in place. Then you can really enjoy these exciting ways to celebrate Labor Day this year!
