||El Paso County, CO, May 25, 2021 – The El Paso County Planning Commission will host the second of two special hearings surrounding Your El Paso Master Plan on Wednesday, May 26 at Centennial Hall (200 S. Cascade Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903). The Planning Commission held its first special hearing on the County’s new Master Plan on May 5, which included staff and consultant presentations, along with public comment.
Wednesday’s hearing will include a review of comments made at the May 5 hearing, as well as additional public comment, discussion and processing of any additional changes that come up Wednesday, and potential action for adoption of the new Master Plan.
The County will be allowing in-person attendance at Wednesday’s hearing (up to 100 people), per updated COVID-19 regulations, however, remote attendance is still strongly encouraged. There will be multiple ways for the public to participate remotely, to ensure ease of access to the hearings. Full instructions for remote and in-person participation, as well as instructions for testifying remotely, are listed in detail in the meeting agenda, which can be found here. Anyone is welcome to watch the live stream of tomorrow’s meeting here.
For anyone who has yet to review the draft of the El Paso County Master Plan, we encourage the public to do so before Wednesday’s meeting. More information including an in-depth explanatory video and the complete draft Master Plan itself can be found on the County’s Master Plan project website here.
