Join us for the Annual Mayor’s Holiday Lighting Festival in Downtown Kansas City, Kansas! This year’s event is Friday, November 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. This tradition is a community favorite, with more than 3,000 community members participating last year.
Activities begin at 4:00 PM on the first floor of City Hall at 701 North 7th Street. As in the past, entertainment by local school and community groups, holiday characters, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, classic holiday movies, and other holiday traditions. The highlight of the evening is the lighting of the Mayor’s Tree at 7:00 PM, where the Mayor, Commissioners, and other elected officials will ‘flip the switch’ on holiday fun.
We’d like to thank this year’s top sponsors for their continued support of this wonderful family-friendly event: KMDI, Glenn’s Pre-Owned Appliances, the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities, and Wyandot, Inc. It takes a village to organize this event, and we couldn’t do it without your support!
