Mayor Marian Orr announced today (January 12) she has created the position of Director of Constituent Services in her office.
Holly Martinez will serve as the Director of Constituent Services. Martinez has a long history of working in the government sector. She started working for the Department of Health’s Wyoming Covering Kids program in 1999 and has held several other positions with the State of Wyoming including time in Governor Dave Freudenthal’s Planning Office and most recently with the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority.
“The Director of Constituent Services will serve to improve the communications between the mayor’s office and the public,” said Mayor Orr. “I plan to take that one step further and improve the communications between the mayor’s office and the City Council and city staff.”
Mayor Orr went on to say the creation of this position will enhance communications coming from her office with the idea the public will have a better experience when they call or come into the mayor’s office.
“I want Cheyenne to be known as a business- and people-friendly community and I believe that starts with the mayor’s office,” Orr said.
This is not a new position, but the job title was changed and the duties were expanded after a Mayor staff member retired earlier this month.
