DesignPlex Biomedical’s specialties include medical devices, drug/device combinations and products with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and software development.
DesignPlex Biomedical, a company that specializes in the design and manufacture of medical devices, has leased an 11,000-square-foot space in the Ridglea area of Fort Worth.
With more than 20 years of experience, DesignPlex Biomedical partners with organizations and entrepreneurs alike to turn ideas into prototypes, and assists with bringing critical new technology to market. The company also provides design review, device development and creates products according to GMP standards, which ensures their consistent quality and safety.
The company is a client of TechFW, one of the city’s nonprofit partners whose mission is to provide mentorship and development opportunities for technology-focused entrepreneurs and startup companies. Several of TechFW’s biotechnology clients are central to the development of Fort Worth’s iter8 Health Innovation Community.
“The Economic Development Strategic Plan notes that bio-tech companies are a key target industry that we’re trying to attract more of here in Fort Worth, so it’s really exciting to see TechFW and the rest of the team at the Guinn Entrepreneurial Campus work with companies like DesignPlex Biomedical to help set them up for future success,” said Robert Sturns, the city’s economic development director. “The fact that DesignPlex Biomedical is putting down roots in Fort Worth through a brick-and-mortar location just goes to show the opportunity that’s here for entrepreneurs and organizations in that industry.”
