The boosted security allows for DIS to trigger encryption for emails that may include confidential and/or sensitive information. The additional enhancement has been applied to ensure that regulations set by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 continue to be met.

With Zix, DIS employees have strengthened the unaltered, encrypted emails they can send. Employees simply encrypt emails through an “Encrypt & Send” plug-in. Recipients can conveniently access secure messages using their existing Zix solutions or through a mobile-friendly, secure web portal.
