Darra Village Precinct Project - Community Placemaking Workshop 2

Brisbane City Council is transforming Darra’s Railway Parade shopping precinct as part of the Village Precinct Project and with the Darra community's help has created the final improvement plan for the precinct. The local community is now invited to share their local stories and work with local photographers Man and Wah in two workshops to help shape the creative outcomes for the project. The intent of the creative outcomes is to promote a sense of connection between the precinct and the local community.

The two community workshops will be an exciting opportunity to work on the creative outcomes of the precinct, including a building wall on the corner of Lee Lane and Darra Station Road, roller doors along Railway Parade and within the three zebra crossings to strengthen the precinct's identity and celebrate local character.

Workshop participants need to bring plants from their own garden in Darra such as a plant cutting, leaf, flower or pot plant, or personal objects that hold special meaning to them. These items and stories will be documented during the workshop.
