GLENDALE, Ariz. – Sahuaro District Councilmember Ray Malnar explores the creation and growth of the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU as it was first established under the name of the American Institute for Foreign Trade. Councilmember Malnar digs into the rich history of the Thunderbird Airfield on which the school was built, the school’s growth and its success through the present day on the latest “In Your Neighborhood” with Councilmember Ray Malnar TV show.

During this episode, Malnar will tour some of the historic sights on campus and meet with faculty and staff. He will also talk with Chief Executive Officer and Director General of the Thunderbird School of Global Management Allen J. Morrison and Executive Director for the Office of the CEO & Director General Chelsea Olson.

“We are all sad to see the departure of the Thunderbird School of Global Management from Glendale,” said Glendale Councilmember Ray Malnar. “Before the Thunderbird School leaves, I felt it important to capture on film some of its rich history. Special thanks to Thunderbird’s administration, faculty, and students who made this film possible as well as Glendale’s Channel 11 and Council staff.”
