Regarding 2019 Annual Action Plan
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Community Development Division (CDD) will conduct three public meetings the purpose of obtaining citizens’ views on affordable housing and community development needs in the City.
Public input will be used to inform the recommendations in the 2019 Action Plan for the use of federal block grant funds received annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Funds include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). These funds are used to create housing, increased economic opportunity, infrastructure, facilities, programs, and services for low- to moderate-income communities.
CDD will be sharing accomplishments to date and will solicit feedback on goals for 2019 in the priority areas of:
· affordable housing
· neighborhood improvement
· preventing and ending homelessness.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the sessions, especially neighborhood leaders, service providers, and community advocates. Attendance is free, light refreshments will be served.
