Coit Road will be Closed at KCS Railroad Crossing for Three Days Next Week

The Kansas City Southern Railway Company is scheduled to reconstruct its railroad grade crossing at the Coit Road location between Plano Parkway and Mapleshade Lane.

The location will be completely closed to traffic at the crossing starting Monday, March 12 through Wednesday, March 14.

Signed detours will be provided for the crossing. Through traffic on Coit Road north of Mapleshade Lane will not be permitted at the KCS railroad crossing. Traffic northbound on Coit Road will follow Mapleshade Lane west to Ohio Drive then east along Plano Parkway.

Through traffic south of Plano Parkway will not be permitted at the KCS railroad crossing. Traffic southbound on Coit Road will follow Plano Parkway east to Independence Parkway or west to Ohio Drive. Traffic eastbound and westbound on Plano Parkway will not be permitted to travel southbound on Coit Road at the KCS intersection. Local businesses with access drives on Coit Road north of Mapleshade Lane and south of Plano Parkway will retain access.
