Reno, Nevada (September 27, 2017) – The South Meadows/Veterans Parkway intersection will close on two upcoming Saturdays so construction crews can work to reconstruct that intersection as part of the SouthEast Connector project. The intersection will be closed on Saturday, September 30 and Saturday, October 21 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. The closures are planned on Saturdays so they don’t interfere with school schedules or commuter traffic.
On September 30, crews will be milling and adding temporary striping. On October 21, crews will do utility work and paving. The remaining work on that intersection will be finished under traffic-controlled lane closures and traffic switches.
The SouthEast Connector Project is anticipated to be complete in spring of 2018.
