City’s Yard Waste Program Resumes On April 3

The City’s Yard Waste Program resumes on Monday, April 3 for the season.

Those residents enrolled in the program will have their yard waste containers picked up starting on Monday, April 3. Billing will start on April 3. The program will end mid-November.

Program users are reminded only grass, leaves and garden waste are allowed in the yard waste container. Customers are reminded not to bag the material, and to not place branches, limbs or brush in the yard waste container because bulky items prevent the container from being emptied.

The City’s optional Yard Waste Program is not currently accepting new customers due to limited resources.

The City’s Compost Facility, 3714 Windmill Road, will operate under normal business hours. The facility is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday and Monday. From May 1 to September 30, the Facility is also open Sundays from Noon to 4 p.m., however, there are no cash sales.

For more information on the program, call the Sanitation Division at 637-6440.
