City of Miami Solid Waste Department will be closed in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

There will be NO GARBAGE, BULKY TRASH OR RECYCLE PICK-UP on MONDAY, JANUARY 15th, 2018

(Miami, FL January 8, 2018)—In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, City of Miami residents are advised there will be NO GARBAGE, BULKY TRASH OR RECYCLE PICK-UP on MONDAY, JANUARY 15th, 2018.The Solid Waste Department will be closed and will resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018. City of Miami residents should hold their garbage / bulky trash/recycling until the next scheduled pick-up day.

Residents whose RECYCLE PICK-UP day falls on Monday, January 15th, 2018, are being provided with an alternate recycle pick up on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 17th, 2018.

Normal service shall resume on Tuesday, January 16th, 2018, and residents are reminded to:

  • Place garbage, recycle carts and bulky trash out in front of their home on the public-right-of-way and away from phones/cable/electricity lines, under trees, utility poles, fire hydrants, fences, vehicles and/or 5 feet away from any structure.

The City‘s Mini Dump will also be closed on MONDAY, JANUARY 15th, 2018.
