City Of Las Vegas To Recognize Outgoing Councilmen And City Manager

City Council To Also Recognize Annual Nation Of Patriots Tour


New Las Vegas city logoThe Las Vegas City Council will recognize the service of outgoing Councilmen Steven D. Ross and Bob Beers, and City Manager Elizabeth N. Fretwell at the Wednesday, June 21, City Council meeting that will begin following an 8 a.m. special council meeting for the annual reviews of the city manager, city attorney and city auditor in council chambers, located at 495 S. Main St.


Councilman Steven D Ross served as the Ward 6 representative for three terms and began his time with the city in 2005. He has served as Mayor Pro Tem since 2015. Councilman Beers served as the representative of Ward 2 since 2012 after winning a special election.


Elizabeth N. Fretwell began her career at the city in 2000 and was promoted to City Manager in 2009.


In addition, Councilman Stavros S. Anthony will recognize the annual Nation of Patriots Tour. The tour sees an American flag make its way through all 48 continental states on the back of a motorcycle, bringing awareness to the sacrifices of the members of America’s military. The tour is scheduled to pass through Las Vegas in July.


Finally, the City Council will also recognize a team of city employees from the Municipal Court that helped to reunite a local family.
