City Of Las Vegas To Recognize Greek Independence Day

Flag Raising Ceremony To Be Held In Front Of City Hall

New Las Vegas city logoLas Vegas Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman and members of the City Council will recognize Greek Independence Day with a flag raising ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, at City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St. The Greek flag will be raised for the day on the city flag poles located at the southeast corner of the building.

As part of the festivities, local Greek dancers as well as children in traditional attire are scheduled to be at the ceremony. In addition, there will be traditional Greek refreshments while supplies last.

Greek Americans continue to make great contributions to the city of Las Vegas and the United States and this ceremony will recognize those efforts.
