City Of Las Vegas Issues Call For Artist Submissions

Three Opportunities Are Available

The city of Las Vegas requests submissions from artists who are interested in applying for one or more of the following opportunities.

Qualified firms or individuals are invited to submit written proposals for an archway, pillar, free-standing sculpture, marker, sign, or structure for the West Las Vegas Arts Center (WLVAC), located at 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. The proposed piece must speak to the WLVAC’s identity as a vibrant performing and visual arts center as well as address the poor visibility of the entry drive into the parking lot. The city offers $72,000 for materials, fabrication, installation, artist fees and any site work. Proposals are due at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 and should be submitted through ngemnv.com. For questions about this program, NGEM registration assistance, or more information, contact 702-229-6231 or 7-1-1 (TTY). Ward 5.
