Dallas – The City of Dallas is resuming the development of the 2017 Capital Bond Program with an added process designed to enhance public participation and transparency in project selection.
This process will involve a 15-member Citizens Bond Task Force (CBTF) recommended by the Mayor and City Council. The CBTF will review recommendations from five City Council-recommended subcommittees, comprised of citizens who are passionate about serving their community.
The five propositions are:
• Parks and trails
• Flood protection
• Economic development and housing
• Critical facilities
Both the CBTF and subcommittees will meet several times from April 24 through May 15, 2017. Times and locations will be posted and all meetings are open to the public. Citizens are also invited to attend Town Hall meetings to review the results of this effort. The Town Hall meetings will be held at City Hall Council Chambers, Monday May 22 and Thursday May 25, 2017.
