City leaders to commemorate 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King

(Miami, FL, April 3, 2018) – Mayor Francis Suarez and Miami City Commission Chairman Keon Hardemon join MLKEDC and other community leaders for the 15th anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King ‘Reclaim the Dream’ Candlelight Memorial and Gospel Concert commemorating the life and works of Dr. King. April 4th marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. King. The event will also include a Unity March against gun violence. The free event features performances by Gospel stars Shirley Caesar and Kirk Franklin.
