City Hosts Talent Exchange Career Expo March 29

More than 85 employers already registered

Mayor Steve Adler, City of AustinThe City of Austin is hosting its annual Career Expo March 29. This year’s theme Ignite a Network of Possibilities is intended to help the event build a stronger community by providing opportunities for Austin area citizens to find jobs.

The free event will be from Noon to 5 p.m. at Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road. Participants will have opportunities to meet face-to-face with company representatives from public agencies, as well as private employers, and temporary staffing agencies. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.

More than 85 employers are registered, including private employers, state agencies, higher education, technical schools, temporary agencies, many smaller businesses with skilled labor and customer service job openings, and City of Austin departments. Pre-registration for attendees and a complete list of employers is available at austintexas.gov/careerexpo.

Free parking will be available in the Palmer Events Center garage. Spanish language and sign language interpreters will be available the day of the event.

More than 1,400 job seekers attended last year’s City of Austin Career Expo.
