City Hosts CodeNEXT Open House Apr. 1

Public invited to learn more about draft land development code text, speak to code experts

The City of Austin’s CodeNEXT team is hosting their fifth of six open houses to gather feedback on the new draft Land Development Code from noon to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 1, 2017. The rewrite of the City’s Land Development Code, CodeNEXT, is a process to modernize and simplify the rules governing how things are built in Austin.

At this open house, you can learn about the new draft code, speak to code experts about changes in the code, and provide your feedback. The City of Austin is hosting six open houses across the city over the next two months.

A sixth open house has been added, and will be held Saturday, April 8 at Anderson High School in Northwest Austin from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
