JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 5, 2017 Continuing its commitment to cleaner neighborhoods and communities, the City of Jacksonville is offering “cash for trash,” an offering designed to address blighted conditions. Citizens are encouraged to clean up the city by participating in the 4TH Annual Tire & Sign Buyback event. Duval County residents with a valid ID can earn 50 cents per illegal snipe sign, with up to 40 signs, and $2 per tire, up to 10 tires. A Fight Blight initiative, the Tire & Sign Buyback is hosted to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods throughout the city by reducing blight which threatens public safety, lowers property values and erodes quality of life.
