Celebrate Hispanic heritage on Sept. 20

Fort Worth residents are invited to attend a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the north plaza of City Hall, 200 Texas St.

The event will feature performances and activities celebrating Latino culture, including a performance from the Fort Worth Opera’s interpretive storyteller, and Fort Worth Capoeira, a Brazilian dance and martial arts performance group.

Additional festivities:

  • Complimentary agua fresca.
  • Learn how to make “papel picado” and decorate your own sugar skull mask.
  • Food trucks will be onsite.
  • City employee salsa cook-off contest.

The program is made possible through a collaboration between the city’s Hispanic Heritage Employee Celebration Committee and the Human Relations Commission.
