Celebrate Florida Bike Month with a Fun Ride!
Are you ready for some biking kind of fun? If so, bring your family, friends, bikes, picnic baskets, blankets, and chairs and celebrate Florida Bike Month this March with a great night of biking and free outdoor fun! Activities for the first Fun Ride of the year include:
  • A casual neighborhood bike ride through the Harbordale and Rio Vista neighborhoods led by Fort Lauderdale Police officers
  • Walt Disney’s Oscar-winning movie “Zootopia” in the park with free popcorn
  • Bike safety activities, helmet fittings, and a helmet giveaway
  • Free bike registration by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department
  • Free repurposed bicycle and new helmet raffle from Recyclable Bicycle Exchange (RBX), and two AvMed Rides bikeshare memberships
  • Donate used, unwanted bikes to RBX (bikes will be repaired and gifted to neighbors in need)

Remember to bring bicycle helmets and bike lights for the ride. Helmets are required for bicyclists that are younger than 16 years old (see Florida Statutes for more information).
