Castle Rock Police ask for the public’s assistance

Castle Rock Police turn to the public for information on a suspicious death from Easter Sunday. On Sunday, April 1, at 5:49 p.m., Castle Rock Police responded to the 100 block of Prairie Hawk Drive after someone discovered an unresponsive adult Hispanic male, later identified as 37 year old Caesar A. Velez of Castle Rock, COLO.

Velez’s body was located on a property adjacent to where he was temporarily residing. An autopsy confirmed Velez suffered from blunt force trauma. However, the cause of his death remains undetermined.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867, 24 hours a day, seven days a week – you can remain anonymous. Anyone who provides information leading to an arrest and charges being filed against a suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
