Unified Government Budget Department
The purpose of this meeting is to seek public comment on budget priorities and initiatives. Citizens and organizations will have the opportunity to comment on budget priorities and initiatives for the adoption of the Unified Government’s revised 2018 and proposed 2019 budgets. A Citizen and Community Stakeholder Budget Initiative form for the Unified Government budget will be available for citizens and organizations at the meeting and online at rlindsey.

As part of this hearing, the public will also have the opportunity to comment on the 2018-2019 Community Development budget. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on the One Year Action Plan and other program initiatives.

UG Launches New Online Bidder Application
The Unified Government has launched a new online application that makes it easier for individuals seeking to purchase a home through a tax sale.
The Spring Tax Sale will be held on April 26th at Memorial Hall. Over 700 parcels were filed in Tax Sale 340. The full list of parcels to be sold and list of any parcels removed are online now.
In the past, bidder registration has only been available in person. With this new online option, bidders can submit their bid online without having to come to the office and the bidder application is available in both English and Spanish. In addition, the information has been updated and revised on the Delinquent Real Estate website to help improve visitors online experience.
If you choose the option to register online, you will also have the option of picking up the bidder number in the office or at the auction the day of the sale. Online registration does NOT replace in person registration.
Take a moment to view the new online application. We are very excited to offer this service to our bidders. We are also excited to have more transparency with our tax sale list, historical tax sale data, and what someone’s options are if their home is in a tax sale.
2017 Vehicle Blitz-Enforcement Effort
Codes will be starting their district-wide vehicle enforcements efforts in February. The first effort will be the week of February 20th.
The code districts affected in these blitzes all end in a 1 and are noted below, along with the commission districts the areas fall in. This will be the first of five efforts this year that when completed will include the entire city. These enforcement efforts are part of the NRC SOAR goals that are also in line with current Commission Goals.
