Founding Father Trench Coxe said, “The power of the sword, say the minority of Pennsylvania, is in the hands of Congress. My friends and countrymen, it is not so, for THE POWERS OF THE SWORD ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE YEOMANRY OF AMERICA FROM SIXTEEN TO SIXTY. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? are they not ourselves. Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American. What clause in the state or federal constitution hath given away that important right…. T he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

First, google: “Trench Coxe the power of the sword” the majority of the quotes miss quote this quote to say the opposite of Trench’s meaning.
Second, “the minority of Pennsylvania” are the politicians, those who want the power they can get when the citizens are powerless to defend themselves when they have no guns.
Finally, follow the link below, and read an excerpt from E. Merrill Root’s book America’s Steadfast Dream. The folly of gun control as government would have control over us “to make us safer.” Safer from what? Safer because we have to wait for 20 minutes for the police to show up to stop the bad guys because we are unable to do it ourselves because of “gun control.” One person in that school could have ended it in a minute saving the majority of the lives if there were no governmental “gun controls!”
