Author, Bracken MacLeod, Returns to Pocatello

A Pocatello native who has made a name for himself in the world of horror stories will be returning to the Gate City June 21.

At 7 p.m. at the Marshall Public Library, author Bracken MacLeod will read from his works as well as take part in a question and answer session with attendees. MacLeod is the author of a collection of stories titled 13 Views of the Suicide Woods and the novels Stranded, Come to Dust, and Mountain Home. His work on Stranded, earned him a nomination for a Bram Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association and currently, the novel is in development for a television show from Warner Horizon Television.

“The Public Library was my retreat and a refuge when I was a young person in Pocatello,” said MacLeod. “I would go there and read about other worlds and fantasize about creating my own adventures that other people would read someday. It’s a dream come true to be able to return to it now as a novelist with books on its shelves. I look forward to coming back to what was always to me, a sacred space.”

“This is a great chance for anyone interested in writing to be able to ask questions about all aspects of writing and publishing from an established author,” said Kristy Lyon, Lead Reference Librarian.

He currently resides in the greater Boston area.

I am able to do this through two important venues: One, with Area-Info.net where people can share everything from opinions to events to news. It is your choice! What do you want to share? Two, through a new program called America's Real Deal I am involved with to help business owners get their voice heard.I schedule speaking engagements with community groups and business groups to share my passion about the importance of "sharing your voice".Contact me directly at lee@leeeverton.com for scheduling information.
