The Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is responsible for lawn and grass maintenance on approximately 2,000 of its 20,000+ plus acres of parkland. Mowing is maintained by approximately 40 grounds maintenance professionals. With park locations in and around Austin, crews work systematically to support a wide, diverse park system with varying terrains and plant types.
