Athletes Announced for National University Championships & Final World Team Selection Event

Ogden (September 21, 2015) – USA Weightlifting announced the athletes that will be competing at the National University Championships and Final World Team Selection event that will be hosted at Weber State University. The event will determine the ‘Strongest College in America’ and is the primary qualification event for the World University Championship. Additionally, it is the final team selection for the World Team that will compete at the 2015 World Championships & Final Olympic Qualification Event in Houston, Texas November 20-29.

The National University Championships and World Team Trials will take place at Weber State’s Wildcat Center on September 25-27 and feature 444 of the country’s top collegiate weightlifters. Nineteen of these athletes will compete in the final World Team selection event.

There will be 27 athletes representing Utah Universities, including 11 from host Weber State University, as well as the following notable athletes:
