Annual report highlights Castle Rock’s financial transparency

Conservative financial management and transparency are priorities for the Town of Castle Rock. Both of these values are spotlighted by the Town’s new Financial Report to the Community – Year Ended December 31, 2017, available at CRgov.com/FinancialReports.

The 12-page report provides an overview of the Town’s financial position as fully reported in the Town’s 200-page Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The smaller report is formally known as the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). The format of both reports is stipulated by the Government Finance Officers Association, which promotes excellence in local government financial management.

The reports feature 2017 financial highlights, including details of the Town’s $53 million increase in net worth in 2017. Additionally, the report provides information regarding the Town’s capital assets, debt and investments.

This smaller report also contains some 2017 performance information, as previously shared with the community in the Town’s Report to the Community – Year-end 2017, available at CRgov.com/MajorProjects.
