Dozens of vendors and health care providers will help ensure the well-being of the community during the annual African-American Health Expo, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 27 at Tarrant County College South Campus, 5301 Campus Drive.
This year’s theme is “Health Disparities: From Awareness to Action.”
Open to the public, this free event addresses the need for education, early detection, prevention, treatment and access to community resources.
Health screenings, seminars, cooking demonstrations and workshops will be provided. Guest speakers and industry professionals will be onsite to provide continuing education and answer health-related questions. Participants can review their screening results with a health coach, who will also provide advice about how to manage health issues.
