A Little Flair in Richland Washington

Arriving in Washington state, the weather didn????????t seem like it would cooperate. It was raining extremely hard and I was glad to get to my destination. To celebrate the drive, me and a co-worker ended up finding a delightful place to relax and eat a wonderful meal.

Katya????????s Restaurant and Wine Bar in Richland, Washington is worth a journal entry. As we walked in, I noticed that there were only about 10 tables. It was small, cozy and a bit romantic. The restaurant was clean and we found out the owner is hands-on. I like that.

Between the two of us, we tried several menu items. I felt that there were several choices that stood out: The crab-stuffed mushrooms were incredible. There were only four for the appetizer, but I wish there had been more of them. The borscht was delicious. And, the Sea Bass tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. There was a great selection of entrees, with many of them having a Ukranian twist on the food.

We were there during Happy Hour and one of surprises was having a bowl of steamed clams for just $5! They were a bit spicy, but fresh and delightful. Except for the clams (during Happy Hour), my choices ranged from $13 to $26 and well worth it.

I would choose to visit Katya????????s Restaurant and Wine bar again. It was that good and a nice diversion from a chain restaurant. Located at 430 George Washington Way, Richland Washington, (509) 946-7777 www.katyasbistro.com.
