Tucked away on the south end of Cache Valley in Hyrum, there is a Chinese restaurant that should be visited. I know that most people don????????t venture this far away for lunch or dinner, but there comes a time when it????????s time to spread your wings and fly south.
During lunch, there is a small rush at the restaurant, but no wait. Inside has always been clean and the people taking orders have been very pleasant. The owners are taking advantage of the layout of the restaurant with a drive through window, takeout, or dine-in. Dining-in is my choice because it is pleasantly quiet and relaxing.
The Golden Jade offers a lunch menu that is very reasonable at about six dollars. There are about fifteen choices which include everything from chow mein to sweet and sour pork. Soup, rice and eggroll are included at this price. It is a heaping plate of food at this price and a great value compared to anywhere in Cache Valley.
The Golden Jade is at 110 North 800 East (435-245-2688) just as you enter Hyrum coming from Nibley.
