Service Runs from First Friday in June through Mid-September
ALBUQUERQUE— As summer approaches, you can stay later at fun spots along Central Avenue on Friday and Saturday nights. ABQ RIDE’s 66 Late Night is making that happen when it swings into service next week.
Starting Friday, June 2, 2017, service on Route #66-Central will be extended by one hour, with the last trips ending at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays until September 17, 2017.
“By taking the 66 to any of the hot spots on Central Avenue, you can leave your car behind and save fuel and not worry about parking,” said Bruce Rizzieri, Director of ABQ RIDE.
Route 66 takes riders to four of Albuquerque’s main entertainment districts: Old Town, Downtown, Nob Hill and East Central. It covers those areas by running every 30 minutes on Central from Tramway on the east to the Central and Unser Transit Center on the west. Its last pickups through Downtown are at about 1 a.m. All this for an adult fare of only $1 per trip; 35 cents if you’re 62 years old + or mobility-impaired.
