STREETKHANA (autocross “NSRA style”) IS BACK!

For those of you that have been around for a while, will remember that in the early days of NSRA we had driving events at a few of our events. As time went on and the events grew and some of the fairgrounds didn’t have the space needed and the number of driving events participants dwindled it was decided to discontinue them, but StreetKahana is back! Most of us that are involved in this sport we call “street rodding” and have built a car or truck have wondered just how good it is and we all have a little bit of “Mario Andretti” in us, well now is your chance to find out.

This isn’t a course to see how fast you can go but it’s how well you can navigate your vehicle through a twisting, turning course of cones, without knocking them over. There will be a lot of tires squealing, brakes smoking and engines revving, all within the safe confines of some orange cones. Participants will experience chicaynes, Chicago boxes and slaloms to compete for time on a custom built course just for NSRA attendees.

Anyone can try this out as long as they are a registered entrant of the NSRA Event and go through a brief safety inspection that will check for a secure battery, seat belts, good resistance in the brake pedal, no missing lug nuts and the wheel solid on the hub. Plus the need for some speed and some fun is important.

If you’re not quite ready to try your hand at driving, why not take a ride with one of the BF Goodrich “Share the Ride” drivers? Anyone over 18 can take a ride with the drivers that are participating in the “Share the Ride” Program.

The StreetKhana will be set up on the grounds on Friday and Saturday. The times will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with tech inspection beginning at 8:00 a.m.
