Destination Dell Mobile Tour Bus To Set Up In Front Of City Hall
Las Vegas City Hall will play host to the Destination Dell mobile tour bus, an executive briefing center making its way around the United States, on Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Clark Avenue between Main and First streets. Representatives with local technology firms will attend the event taking place downtown in the new Las Vegas Innovation District.
The city of Las Vegas recently established the Innovation District downtown to create a center for testing groundbreaking technology in the areas of alternative energy, citizen participation, transportation and social infrastructure. It is also a proving ground for collaborative efforts between the city and its new technology partners.
The city is also on the cutting edge of developing safe practices that enable automated vehicle (AV) implementation and innovation. Recently, a new milestone in transportation was reached in the Innovation District as NAVYA and Keolis, in partnership with the city of Las Vegas, launched the first completely autonomous, fully electric shuttle ever to be deployed on a public roadway in the United States. Testing was well-received and the city continues to explore this technology for shuttle systems.
Motorists can expect Clark Avenue between Main and First streets to be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow.
