Special Called Code Advisory Group Meeting and CodeNEXT Open House Mar. 4

Land Development Code Advisory Group to meet with Boards and Commissions members to discuss draft code; public invited to open house to learn about the new draft code and speak to code experts

The City of Austin’s CodeNEXT team is hosting their third of six open houses to gather feedback on the new draft Land Development Code from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 4, 2017 at LBJ Early College High School. The rewrite of the City’s Land Development Code, CodeNEXT, is a process to modernize and simplify the rules governing how things are built in Austin.

At this open house, you can learn about the new draft code, speak to code experts about changes in the code, and provide your feedback. The City of Austin is hosting six open houses across the city over the next two months.

Additionally, the Land Development Code Advisory Group will be hosting a special called meeting from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Mar. 4, 2017. This meeting will also take place at LBJ Early College High School, and will be a two-way forum to discuss the draft code with Boards and Commissions members.

The fourth open house will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Austin High School in Central Austin from noon to 2:00 p.m.

The fifth open house will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Westwood High School in Northwest Austin from noon to 2:00 p.m.

A sixth open house has been added and will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Anderson High School in Northwest Austin from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
